A Foundation Built on Service
Taron Epps has dedicated more than two decades of his life to serving others. His career began in the United States Army, where he spent over 20 years on active duty, including three combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. His military experience shaped his approach to leadership — grounded in discipline, responsibility, and a commitment to the people around him.

From Military Service to Community Leadership
After completing his military career, Taron continued serving the Lawton–Fort Sill community through roles focused on economic development and organizational leadership. He served as the Chief Operations Officer at the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce, where he worked closely with local businesses, community partners, and civic organizations. He later became the Executive Director of Business Development at Camgian, contributing to initiatives that support innovation and economic opportunity.
These roles strengthened his understanding of Lawton’s economic landscape and the importance of collaboration between public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
Results & Accomplishments
Public Service in Lawton
In August 2025, Taron was appointed to represent Ward 2 on the Lawton City Council. In this role, he participates in city governance, engages with residents, and works alongside community leaders on issues that affect daily life in Lawton. His council service reflects his ongoing commitment to transparency, communication, and responsible decision‑making.
Education and Professional Development
Taron holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master’s degree in Leadership and Management from Webster University. His academic background complements his military and professional experience, providing a strong foundation for public service and organizational leadership.

Beyond his formal roles, Taron remains active in several community organizations. His service includes:
